Strong Security for Sensitive Documents
Passports and visas are among the most sensitive documents you can share. AuPairSync treats them with the security they deserve.
AES Encryption
Every document is encrypted with AES encryption and secure key management. Even if someone accessed the storage, documents are unreadable without the encryption key.
Integrity Verification
SHA256 checksums verify that documents haven't been tampered with. Every download is validated against the original upload.
Time-Limited Access
Access tokens expire automatically. No permanent download links floating around β each access request is time-limited and logged.
Full Audit Trail
See when each document was uploaded, by whom, and every access event. Complete transparency for compliance and peace of mind.
Never Miss an Expiry Date
A visa that expires without renewal can mean deportation. An expired insurance policy leaves everyone unprotected. AuPairSync makes sure you never get caught off guard.
- Expiry date tracking: Set the expiry date when uploading β AuPairSync remembers so you don't have to
- Advance reminders: Get notified weeks before a document expires, giving you time to renew
- Status overview: See all documents and their expiry status at a glance β green (valid), yellow (expiring soon), red (expired)
- Renewal workflow: When you renew a document, upload the new version β the old one is archived automatically
β οΈ Visa expired without warning? That scenario disappears with AuPairSync's proactive expiry alerts
Who Sees What β You Decide

π¨ Request a Document from the Au Pair
A parent can ask the au pair for a document, for example a passport, a visa or proof of insurance. In Au Pair Profiles, open the au pair and choose "Request document" under Documents. Say what the document is for, set a due date and name the parent who reviews it. The au pair gets a notification, finds the request in My Documents and uploads a new file or uses a document she uploaded herself earlier, if it is of the requested type.
The reviewing parent marks it as reviewed or asks for a replacement, and the parent who asked can cancel the request. Each request keeps its history. A request gives no one additional access to documents.
